FlashWine by Quentin Sauvage — last updated 5 October 2026
You can delete your FlashWine account and the data associated with it at any time. Choose whichever option suits you.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)
Open FlashWine and sign in.
Go to Account → Delete Account.
Confirm the deletion. If you signed in a while ago, the app may ask you to sign in again before it proceeds.
Option 2 — Request deletion without the app
If you have uninstalled FlashWine or can no longer open it, email
qsauvage@icloud.com
with the subject “FlashWine account deletion”, from the email address linked to your account (or tell us which sign-in method you used: email, Google, or Apple).
We may ask you to confirm you own the account. We will delete your account and confirm by reply within 30 days of your request.
What is deleted
Your account: email address, sign-in identifiers, and display name.
Your synchronised study data: study progress and review history, XP, streaks, exam attempts, wine mastery, daily statistics, tasting notes and tasting groups, and activated study packs.
Data stored only on your device (including downloaded study packs, photos, and any AI API key you entered) is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
What is kept
Purchases. Payments are processed by Google Play (or the Apple App Store). Purchase records are held by them, not by us, and are not affected by deleting your FlashWine account. Deleting your account does not cancel or refund purchases; refunds are handled by the store.
We do not keep any other personal data after deletion, apart from routine backups of Google’s Firebase infrastructure, which are overwritten automatically in line with Google’s retention schedule.
Partial deletion
If you only want specific data removed (for example, your tasting notes) without deleting your account, delete them inside the app or email us and tell us what to remove.
